Nokia Asha 303, 300, 200, 201, release dates, specs and prices


Besides the latest smartphones announced at Nokia World, the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia also unveiled four new cheaper smartphones and mobile phones named Asha. We got the Asha 303, 300, 200 and the 201.

Nokia Asha 303, the most expensive from this series will have a querty keyboard unlike the Asha 300, a 1 GHz processor, 100 megabytes of free space, a MicroSD card can be used to increase the space up to 32 gigabytes.

The screen has a 2,6” size, we got a 3,2 megapixel camera. This smartphone is using the touchscreen technology but is not using the Windows Phone OS that wee see on Lumia 800 or 710, neither Symbian.

Nokia Asha 303 and 300 are using the Nokia Browser software, they say that it can save up to 90% of the Internet bandwidth so it will be cheaper to surf the web since the mobile phone operators are still offering limited Internet data.

Angry Birds Lite, probably a simple version of the famous game is already pre-installed on the Asha 303 and Asha 300.

Nokia Asha 300 is not using a querty keyboard, just the default buttons with numbers that we see on classic mobile phones. Besides these numbers, it is using the touchscreen technology. It has the same 1 GHz processor we have on Asha 303, it has a better camera of 5 megapixel, 2,4” screen size and more space, 140 megabytes Internal memory.

Nokia Asha 200 is having the dual SIM feature available with Easy Swap technology, the Asha 200 and the 201 are not using the touchscreen technology, both phones are having a 2,4” screen size, colorful, many color models available, targeting the younger customers that will find the media features and the design of these phones really fun.

The release date for Nokia Asha 303, 300 and 200 is near the end of 2011 while the Nokia Asha 201 will be available at the beginning of 2012.

The prices are the following: Asha 303: 115 euro, 300: 85 euro, 200: 60 euro and for the Nokia Asha 201, 60 euro. These are the officially announced prices by Nokia at Nokia World that took place this week in UK.

    asha 303 good mobile handset, use it within two months. It is particularly convenient while driving. Fully touch screen while driving is inconvenient, but this is what you need.

    Fully agree, having to use a touchscreen phone while driving isn’t comfortable, not to say about getting it out of the case, old phones don’t need a case.
