Lenovo G570 AH Laptop Review, specs, Intel I3 2330M 2.20GHz processor, 4 gigabytes RAM, 750 gigabytes disk space, AMD Radeon HD 6370M 1 gigabyte video card.

There are just a few brands when buying a laptop, we have Acer, Asus, Samsung, Dell, Hp and the expensive ones, Razer Blade, the ones from Apple and Alienware.
And we have Lenovo, a chinese brand, the ex IBM actually (Lenovo bought the IBM PC division in 2005 for 1.25 billion dollars).

This is a review for Lenovo, LG G570 AH. I have used this laptop for almost a month, mostly for writing, Internet browsing, watching HD live streams and casual gaming.

Let’s start with the design. Lenovo G570 AH doesn’t look bad on the first look, it shares the same design as Razer Blade, except the green lights.

It doesn’t have lights on the keyboard buttons. It has four white lights on the front side, under the mouse pad, and the standard Power, Caps Lock and Num Lock, all these being white.

The front case is made of some sort of rubber, looks and feels steady, and doesn’t feel cheap. The back case is just basic plastic.
The keyboard is ok, after half an hour, I was writing without making a single mistake, without looking at the keyboard not even once.

One issue, the place where you keep your hands is made of plastic, it would have been better to be made of some sort of metal like on some Asus laptop models. It can be a problem if you have sweaty hands.

There is a cooler with the exit on the left side of the laptop, maybe not a good choice as if you keep the device on bed for example, you need to be careful not to cover the air exit.

The laptop comes with a CD with drivers, everything can be installed within a few clicks. The bios is ok, very few options, an article regarding an issue with the graphic card.

No issues for detecting wireless Internet connections.

The laptop has the exit air flow from the cooler on the left side, it has a VGA port, 1 HDMI, 3 USB ports. On the right side, we have the power source input, 1 USB, the DVD ROM-RW unit, an input for microphone and one for audio. No issues with the distribution of these ports. Great positioning.

The sound is great, both from the external speaker and also when listening using a headset. Is amazing actually.

Performance. This model has a dedicated video card, an AMD Radeon HD 6370M with 1 gigabyte memory, and an integrated Intel HD graphics 3000 video card.
The AMD video card will be activated when you start a video game, for the rest of the things, the laptop will work with the Intel HD graphics 3000 in order to consume less energy.

Lenovo G570 AH can run HD videos, 1080p video quality without an issue, you can see live streams also on HD quality.

Battery life. The laptop will last around 2.5 – 3 hours if you watch videos at high quality, highest brightness, around 4 hours for browsing, writing, etc. Much less for gaming.

Lenovo G570 resolution

For gaming, I have tried Diablo 3 beta and the laptop managed to run the game on the default resolution, all settings on high, except shadow quality and the top end options like anti aliasing.
Diablo 3 had some delay (using these settings) when I tried to play it without having the power cable plugged.

The laptop is not very noisy, it might make some noise depending what you run on it, for example when playing a video game, the cooler will increase its speed and will start making a higher noise.

It doesn’t heat, no issue regarding this matter.

The bad part, and mostly this is the only thing that should be fixed by Lenovo. The screen. The viewing angle is very very small, you barely can use the laptop from a normal straight position.

Lenovo G570 bad angle

I would not recommend to anyone to use this laptop without a source of light. F.lux (a software, google it), is recommended as it will adjust the brightness and colors depending on the daytime.
The screen is glossy, will act as a mirror during the day.

Overall is not a bad laptop, if you can get used to the screen, it is better to check how it looks and feels before ordering it from a website (without seeing how the screen looks and feels for your eyes).

Not on high for sure, I can’t say exactly since I only played Diablo 3, that works fine though on high details (no anisotropic).

You should also definitely check the screen angle if is acceptable for your eyes before buying it.
    Good luck.
