How to install Diablo 3 if you get the error that your installation disk has been ejected?

14.05.2012

Diablo 3 will be officially released in a few hours, the game can be installed by all those who pre-ordered the game, the digital version.

On the login screen, this is the current message that is displayed. “Diablo III is almost here! Servers goes live on May 15 at 00:00 AM CEST (Europe). Stand ready to storm the gates of the Burning Hells by creating your BattleTag on http://battle.net”.

Those that already got their BatteTag from the open beta Diablo 3 weekend don’t need to create a new one.

If you had the client downloaded for some time, you need a new client.

Head to eu.battle.net or us.battle.net and download the new client. You need to be sure that you download the right client.

Diablo 3 Battle.net

Change to EU if you see US (US is by default client even if your account is from Europe). If you are from Europe, you need the Diablo 3 client named “Diablo-III-Setup-enGB.exe“.

Run the client, it will download 7.60 gigabytes of data. After the download is done, the installation interface will appear and you can select where you want to install Diablo 3.

If everything is ok, you should not encounter any errors.

Those who will get stuck at 7.60 gigabytes even though the interface is saying that 7.60 gigabytes of data has been downloaded, click cancel and run the “Diablo-III-Setup-enGB.exe” again. It will not re-download, it will just recheck the files and start the installation process. Wait around 10 minutes even if you get stuck at 7.60 gigabytes.

If you click cancel and try to install the game, you will get this error, “Tome2.mpqe Could Not Be Opened“.

Other error that can occur is this one: “Your Installation Disk Has Been Ejected“. This means you have the wrong version of the game, US instead of EU. Download the right Diablo 3 client as we have mentioned in this article.

@josh, you need to delete the folder where the first client was saved and then download the correct one (EU) in your case I guess.
That folder is named something like “Diablo-III-8370-enGB-Installer”. US instead of enGB.

Then this error looks that is happening only for the US client. You should check the Diablo 3 official forums.
Btw, how long until midnight in US?

You should delete everything like I said.

Check the second picture from this article. You should download that file “blizzard downloader” and run it again, re-download those 7.60 gigabytes again and then try to install once the data has been downloaded.

Complete mis-information about the error being due to the wrong client. I have the correct GB-eu version and still get the game disc error.

@Lee, it worked for me. You should restart the installation process and re-download all those 7.60 gb if nothing works.

FIX: After all files are downloaded correctly and downloader starts installer you need to move whole folder with installation files to the folder USERS and start instalation. I know it sounds strange but I am playing now so…. I am using OSX Lion
