Besides the default widgets that social media websites are providing, custom social media buttons can also be added to a website. Just custom Facebook or Twitter images with links for share, tweet etc.
Notice that these codes will work for any website and even for those that are using WordPress as a platform. All that is required are some medium PHP coding skills for normal websites and advanced coding skills for WordPress.
These coding skills are required if you want that the buttons to share individual pages instead of your main page (example: yahoo.com/news/today.html instead of yahoo.com).
Download this archive from here, it contains custom social media buttons for Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Delicious, Stumbleupon, Technorati and Linkedin.
Besides the buttons, it contains a HTML file. Open this file within a web editor like Adobe Dreamweaver or Notepad.
Copy / Paste the codes from there as they are, edit the “your url here” by replacing with your URLs. Facebook is the only one requiring the title tag, “your title here”.
Save the page, upload it by FTP and test it in the browser.
