Diablo 3 perfect keybind setup, action bar and skills

22.05.2012

Diablo 3 is a fun game to play, the issue is that being a hack and slash video game, you will have to keep the left click pressed most of the time.
If you have a cheap mouse and depending how sensible your wrist is, it might start to hurt after a Diablo 3 session (one act or more).
Keybinding your skills is the best way to make the game more fun and forget about the keyboard.

Assign left and right click to your primary and secondary attack (these are auto-assigned by default). The defensive skill should go for mouse scroll up, might should go for mouse scroll down, tactics (buff) should go for mouse scroll click.

The last skill with the longest cooldown (Rage) can be assigned to the space key from the keyboard.

Skills and key bindings

To protect your wrist, you can get a Razer Naga or any mice that has side buttons and are easy to be pressed (test the mouse first before buying it) so you can assign the left click to any of the side buttons in order to rest your wrist.

You can also use a Power Ball at least a few minutes per day in order to relax your wrist and also gain some resistance.

If you don’t know how to assign (keybinds) a skill, go to Diablo 3 options, “key bindings”, scroll down until you see “Gameplay”, click on any of the options there with the mouse and select any other keyboard key or mouse key / combo to replace the default ones. You will notice the change.

Finally, there is one more key needed, for potions. You can assign another keyboard key like “TAB” because it is easy to press.

Overall, a Razer Naga or Naga Hex seems to be the best choice for Diablo 3 but the game can be played of course, even with a normal mouse.
