Diablo 3 open beta will start in a few minutes, 22 AM here, the authenticator currently isn’t working, giving this error: “Unable to connect to the service or the connection was interrupted. (Error 3003)”.
For Europe, selecting “The Americas” from Options, Account, there is another error: “Player has been disconnected. (Error 3005).”
There is a notice on the right side of the Diablo 3 main menu, “We’re in the process of releasing a service update which may impact your ability to log in. If you’re currently unable to log in please try again soon.”
We are starting a live stream with sound or without sound (not sure yet), that will last for some good hours.

Update.
The game is playable at this time, just select “The Americas” from Options, Region, be patient when trying to create a character/enter the world.
The game won’t work if you select Europe or Asia. If you get this error, “The servers are busy at this time. Please try again later. (Error 37)”, keep trying go login, it will work in the end.
Our stream is over, we might stream tomorrow night starting with a new character. We tried with a barbarian, reaching level 8, it wasn’t enough to defeat Leoric, the first boss from Act 1.
