Blizzard has announced that Inferno difficulty for Diablo 3 is going to be nerfed in the future patch, 1.0.3. More exactly, they are looking into what players complained, melee classes having a hard time to survive in inferno compared to the ranged classes that can kite. Also players complaining that they are getting one shot.
The item drop rate is getting changed, we will have a small chance of getting ACT 3-4 items even from ACT 1. This is great news since the prices in auction house might drop with a new flood of good items.
Blizzard has confirmed that they will nerf the damage done by mobs from ACT 2, 3 and 4 Inferno.
For cooperative, the mobs will not do more damage anymore if there are more players, they will just have more HP.
This is also great news for melee classes, barbarians and monks who had no chance to survive against mobs while playing in cooperative mode.
One bad news though. The gold cost for repairs will increase a lot in order to stop players exploiting different situations where they could just run on the map to the boss entrance and grind him.
Patch 1.0.3 will be released “later this month” as we can see on the official Diablo 3 website.
