Ex Apple CEO, Steve Jobs has passed away, age Of 56, 1955 – 2011

Steve Jobs, ex CEO of Apple, has passed away at the age of 56. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004 (claiming back then that he got cured after surgery) and suffered a liver transplant in 2009.

His health state didn’t improved, he quitted the CEO position at Apple, leaving Tim Cook in charge, he passed away on 5 October 2011.

Google has bought Motorola, details and financial numbers

Google has announced yesterday, 15 August 2011, that they made a deal with Motorola Mobility Holdings (Motorola) to buy all the shares of the company for 12.5 billions $ meaning 40$ per share that sums the 12.5 billion $.

Larry Page (Google CEO) said that Motorola’s support towards Android has created a connection between the two companies.

Alien prequel, Prometheus 3D, release date and details

Alien Prometheus is under development and is planned to be released in US on 8 June 2012.

Prometheus will be a prequel for the first Alien movie (1979) and will try to give some answers, for example the origin planet of the aliens, what was with the abandoned ship and the fossilized skeleton that was found by the crew from the first Alien.

Nokia and CNN partnership

The companies announced their partnership today, Nokia will provide mapping services for CNN, for example, The Royal wedding event has used Nokia 3D Maps, an application that allows viewing in 3D, high details for different cities around the world.

PSN might be back online this week

A Sony PR posted on their official blog an update regarding the PSN current situation.
